Role Description 

This is an unpaid position for a Financial Services Intern located in North Vancouver, BC. The intern will support financial planning tasks, assist with retirement planning strategies, and aid in the management of financial services. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing administrative support. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Elite Family Office Inc. to further enterprise goals. 


The intern will build on existing financial literacy skills including P/E calculation, debt to equity ratio calculation, sharpe ratio comparison, detailed equity research, risk adjusted rate of return comparison, S&P component comparison, and producing portfolio templates. 


Key Responsibilities 


Review and Produce Documents. Requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and creatively. 

Review and Streamline Processes. Requires an understanding of business processes and efficiency tools and practices. 

Software Review and Improvement. Review current technology used and look for opportunities to leverage AI tools and other types of software, e.g. CRM and Financial Management Software. 


Discuss, automate, and optimize the following key areas: 

1. Lead Generation. Determine three (3) areas where clients are finding us and design documents, systems and processes to support this. 

2. Onboarding Process. Review current onboarding process and documents and look for opportunities to automate, streamline and increase overall quality and efficiency. 

3. Communication. We communicate with clients, business partners, service providers and other professionals. Review current processes and create a comprehensive plan and schedule. 


Qualifications: 

- Active willingness and ability to learn and follow instructions 

- Strong knowledge and interest in leveraging AI tools to produce documents and assist with key processes 

- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree from an accredited educational institution in Canada 

- Extremely high communication skills, both verbal and written 

- Ability to conduct research with specific direction, with independence and creativity 

- Ability to prepare and manage documents, contracts, letters, and various correspondence, and understand workflow 

- Strong critical thinking skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills 

- Familiar with commonly used business applications 

- Preference for an individual with an active interest in the financial services industry 


Compensation requirements: 

This is an unpaid internship with the objective to expose the candidate to the high-intensity world of a Family Office, with the highest standards of professionalism and attention to detail. If the candidate is successful in completing his/her tasks and has learned what is being taught, this skill set will enable the candidate to pursue a career in financial services. 


Work hour requirements: 

It is anticipated that this internship will require an estimated 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work beyond this. We require an intern as soon as a suitable candidate can be found.
